Call For Abstracts

Requirement and guidelines for submitting papers

The GIHep Singapore 2022 invites abstracts of original contribution for poster, oral or video presentations. The top abstracts for free paper will qualify for the Free Paper Oral Presentations while the top videos will qualify for the Free Endoscopic Video Presentations. All other free paper abstracts, upon acceptance, will put up for poster presentations.

Endoscopic Video Case Submission

Submission Deadline : Extended till Sunday, 19 June 2022.

Guidelines

  1. Subject matter must be endoscopic in nature and pose a clinical challenge or demonstrate an intriguing technique;
  2. Files may be no more than 3 minutes in length and may include a narrative audio track that will be used for review purposes, but will not be part of the live presentation;
  3. Four videos will be selected. If chosen, you must be present at the meeting to narrate your video during the video forum. A two-minute panel discussion will follow each presentation;
  4. An award will be presented to the top video.

Submission

  1. All video of maximum size 256MB are to be uploaded online.
  2. File size larger that 256MB may download the video case submission form and send to the secretariat at secretariat@gihep.org.sg for assistance on uploading the video.
  3. All presenting authors must register for the conference.

Free Paper Abstract Submission

Submission Deadline : Extended till Sunday, 19 June 2022.

Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Rules for Submission

  1. All abstracts must be submitted on using the Abstract Submission Form, which can be downloaded from the event website. All completed abstract submission forms are to be uploaded online.
  2. We regret that hardcopy, faxed or emailed abstracts will not be accepted.
  3. All accepted abstracts may be included in the GIHep Singapore 2022 programme souvenir and website. Therefore, submission of abstracts constitutes the authors’ consent for publication of abstracts.
  4. Please ensure the correctness of your abstract as it will be published as submitted; i.e. any error appearing in the submitted abstract will appear in the published book or website.
  5. All presenting authors must register for the conference.

Abstract Format

  1. Font: Times New Roman, regular, only
  2. Size: 10 points only
  3. Single space and justify the text
  4. Limit the content to 250 words
  5. Do not include any pictures and references in the abstract
  6. The content of the abstract is to be organized as follow:
    • Background/Aim
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion

Submission and Notification

  1. All abstracts submitted will be acknowledged through email within 3 working days upon receipt. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you do not receive the acknowledgement email.
  2. All abstracts will be evaluated against Originality, Study Design, Study Quality, Statistical Methods, Ethical Issues, Content and Importance/Relevance.
  3. The Judges decisions are final.
  4. The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to all oral and poster presentation schedules.
  5. Presenting authors will receive an email notification on abstract acceptance or rejection by Thursday, 30 June 2022.
