Dr Constantinos Anastassiades is a consultant gastroenterologist and Head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore. He joined Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in 2014 after 15 years in the United Kingdom and the United States. He obtained his medical degree from University College London Medical School and completed his medical internship at University College London Hospital. He became Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology after completing his specialization at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. He was then the Michael V. Sivak, Jr. Fellow in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Research in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where he subsequently worked as an Attending Physician and specialist in Gastroenterology before coming to Singapore.
In addition to his clinical practice, he has been involved in endoscopic research which has been presented at national and international meetings and he has authored a book chapter and several journal publications. He has served as invited faculty on regional and national endoscopy courses in the United States organized by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He holds an adjunct academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. In 2014, he was awarded the distinction of Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
