Dr. Edhel Tripon is a Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist who earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She had her Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the U.P.- Philippine General Hospital. She earned her Clinical Fellowship in Hepatology at the National University Hospital in Singapore.
She has been a member of the board of the Hepatology Society of the Philippines since 2017 and became President of the Society in April 2021-March 2022. Dr. Tripon is an advocate for increasing public awareness and optimizing public health approaches for curbing liver disease in the Philippines. She was a member of the 2021 Consensus Panel for the Philippine Clinical Practice Guidelines for Hepatocellular Cancer and was part of the Steering Committee of the 2021 Philippine Clinical Practice Guidelines for Hepatitis B. She is also an active member of the Technical Working Group for the National Viral Hepatitis Prevention and Control Program.
She is a Hepatologist at The Medical City- Center for Liver Health and Transplant ,Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos, and ACE Malolos Doctor’s Hospital in Bulacan. Dr. Tripon is also clinical faculty at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.
