Dr. Kewin Siah is a consultant and Clinical Director of the Gastro-Motility Lab and Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders Clinic in National University Hospital. He received the JSGE research award to undergo advanced colonoscopy training at the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine. He was awarded the NMRC fellowship award for Irritable Bowel Syndrome research training in the world-renowned Oppenheimer Neurobiology of Stress Centre at UCLA.  He has published over 50 scientific articles in the field of IBS, constipation, and endoscopy including key publications in Nature Communications, Endoscopy, and Gut. He is the Associate Editor of BMC Medicine. Kewin is also actively involved in international guidelines for DGBIs and is currently the Secretary-General of both the Asian Neurogastroenterology & Motility Association and the National Foundation of Digestive Disease. He is an avid academic tweeter and was recently appointed co-chair of the Rome Foundation Gastropsy’s Social Media & Communication Committee. With his passion for patient care, Kewin is actively involved in raising awareness of IBS in Singapore and is the current President of Singapore’s IBS Support Group.
