Dr Lim Chee Hooi is a senior consultant and Director for Centre of Digestive and Liver Diseases at Singapore General Hospital. He obtained his specialist training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal Medicine predominantly at the Leeds General Infirmary and St James University Hospital, Leeds, United Kingdom. He worked for twenty years in the National Health Service (NHS), England before moving to Singapore to be closer to home and family. His special interest is in therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy and was an accredited screening colonoscopist by Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy.
Dr Lim was awarded Doctor of Medicine at the University of Leeds, UK in 2008 for his research into Clinical Implications of Gastrointestinal Epithelial Dysplasia in Surveillance Programme. He was elected as Fellow of Royal College of Physicians, London in 2011.
He is an examiner for undergraduate medical students and continues to be a MRCP PACES (UK) examiner. His other clinical interests include General Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Quality and Safety in Medical Care.
