Dr Wang Yu Tien is a consultant gastroenterologist at Singapore General Hospital. He graduated from medical school at the University of Sydney in 2000. After completing his housemanship in Australia, he trained in internal medicine and subsequently underwent specialty training in Gastroenterology at Singapore General Hospital. He then attended a fellowship in Neurogastroenterology and motility at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
He is the current Chairperson of Neurogastroenterology Special Interest Group, Gastroenterological Society of Singapore and the clinical lead of the upper GI gastrointestinal physiology section of SGH GI function lab.
Dr Wang is active in irritable bowel syndrome and GI motility research. He is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and a Clinical Senior Lecture at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
He is also contributes to medical education and is the Co-chairman of clinical competency committee and core faculty SingHealth Gastroenterology Senior Residency Program and Clinician Physician Faculty Member, Internal Medicine, Singapore General Hospital
